Where can you find some of the most beautiful soft sandy beaches in Northern Ontario? Sometimes you need to look in the most bizarre places, like the North Channel of Lake Huron, between the small towns of Blind River, and Spanish, Ontario. In the early months of the summer in Canada, sailors from around the world make their way from the Atlantic ocean, through some of the great lakes, and all the way up to North Channel of Lake Huron, to enjoy their warm summers in the Best fresh water sailing spot in the World.

Sandy Beaches on the North Channel of Lake Huron

So why is this a PWC's paradise?

The same reason why it's a sailing and yachting paradise; scenery, fresh water, island hoping, and calm waters. A bonus with exploring the North Channel with a PWC is that it can manoeuvre well between islands, and shallow waters.

When's the best time to go out on a PWC on the North Channel?

Do most of your touring early in the morning while the lake is smooth as glass. On those bright, windy, and sunny afternoons, catch some air on those big waves in the main channel, hold on tight.

IMPORTANT: Weather changes fast out on the water. Keep an eye out on weather throughout the week while planning your excursions, and keep an eye out for rapid changing weather while out on the lake.
